Ausarmaat Rahotep, a 37-year-old Rhode Island truck driver, was heading northbound on I-75 in Florida when he called 911 and said he was “headed to Donald Trump with bombs”.
Columbia County’s 911 center then sent state, county and local law enforcement agencies looking for his truck.
According to NBC news, his tractor-trailer was seen on the shoulder of the interstate. He flashed his emergency lights and started driving northbound again, weaving across the road but apparently not speeding, with law enforcement right behind.
The driver pulled over at the Florida Georgia border. He was placed under arrest and his truck was checked and cleared for explosives. He was hauling pool construction materials.
“Rahotep was charged with reckless driving, fleeing and attempting to elude, and making threats against elected officials.”… Columbia County Sheriff’s Office
