On I-40 in Hickory, NC a 21-year-old rookie driver decided at the last second to take exit 123B.
It was a bad decision.
The Swift driver just got his CDL last week, and was hospitalized with an injury to his left arm and was “shaken by the accident”.
I can imagine.
“He just got his commercial license last week,” Vang said. “He probably didn’t know the truck would flip. Hickory Master Police Officer Soua Vang said.
“He decided he wanted to make a right, but he was going too fast,”
According to the Hickory Record, the accident shut down the exit most of Monday afternoon as recycled paper had to be offloaded from the rolled over trailer.
