You complete pre- and post-trip inspections, verify each load is legal and in good condition, secure pallets with straps, and follow FMCSA and company safety policies. You use dispatch or account apps to review load details and schedules and support reliable, on-time, mostly no-touch deliveries while returning home daily or most nights. Safely operate a Class A commercial truck with automatic transmission on local and regional routes within roughly 250 miles of base. Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects or safety concerns. Verify each load is legal, properly documented, and in good condition before departure and upon delivery. Secure pallets and freight using appropriate strapping and load-securing techniques inside the trailer. Follow FMCSA/DOT regulations and company safety policies, practicing defensive driving at all times. Use dispatch or account applications to review load details, pickup times, and route information. Manage time to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries while being home daily or most nights. Maintain accurate logs and basic delivery or incident documentation as required.
