CDL-A Truck Driver

Schneider is hiring CDL-A Truck Drivers to safely transport freight across regional and OTR routes. In this role, you’ll operate late-model equipment, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, follow FMCSA/DOT regulations, and use ELDs for accurate logging. You’ll manage on-time pickups and deliveries, communicate with dispatch, and provide courteous service at customer locations. Safely operate CDL-A tractor-trailer equipment on assigned routes Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects Comply with all FMCSA/DOT, company, and safety regulations Use ELDs and on-board technology for accurate hours-of-service logging Secure freight properly and verify load documentation Maintain on-time pickups and deliveries and manage trip planning Communicate effectively with dispatch, planners, and customers Provide professional, courteous service at customer facilities Follow company policies for fuel, routing, and equipment care Participate in ongoing safety and training programs CDL Class A operation Trip planning and navigation FMCSA/DOT compliance Electronic logging devices (ELD) Freight securement Defensive driving Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Time management and on-time delivery Customer service Basic paperwork and load documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL Class A license Clean driving record meeting Schneider safety standards DOT medical certification Ability to pass drug and background checks Experience with ELD/compliance systems preferred
