Local CDL Class A Truck Driver – Yard Spotter

Lazer Logistics is hiring a Local CDL A Truck Driver / Yard Spotter to safely move trailers within distribution and manufacturing yards. In this local, home-daily role, you’ll spot, park, and shuttle trailers using yard trucks while following strict safety and communication protocols. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, updating move requests via yard management technology, and coordinating with dispatch and warehouse teams. Safely move and spot trailers within distribution and manufacturing yards using yard tractors Perform accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers Follow all DOT, company, and site-specific safety policies and procedures Use yard management systems and handheld technology to track trailer moves and yard inventory Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and management to prioritize moves Maintain clean, organized equipment and promptly report maintenance issues Support 24/7 operations with reliable attendance and adherence to assigned schedules Assist with basic yard organization, trailer staging, and traffic flow management CDL Class A driving Yard truck/spotter operation Trailer backing and maneuvering DOT regulations knowledge Pre- and post-trip inspections Use of yard management systems Radio and yard communication Basic vehicle troubleshooting Time management and scheduling Safety and hazard awareness Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL Class A license Clean MVR and ability to meet DOT qualification standards Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening Experience operating yard trucks or tractor-trailers Knowledge of basic vehicle inspections and safety procedures
