Local CDL A Truck Driver

McIntosh Box & Pallet is seeking a Local CDL A Driver to support our manufacturing and distribution of wooden pallets, crates, and packaging across the Northeast. In this home-daily role, you’ll safely operate company tractors and flatbeds to pick up and deliver pallet loads between our facilities and customer sites. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, securing and tarping loads, maintaining accurate delivery paperwork, and communicating with dispatch and warehouse teams. Safely operate CDL A tractor and trailers for local deliveries and pickups Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT standards Secure, tarp, and inspect pallet and crate loads to prevent damage or shifting Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws Maintain accurate logs, bills of lading, and delivery documentation Communicate with dispatch, yard, and warehouse teams on schedules and issues Assist with loading/unloading or positioning pallets as needed Report vehicle maintenance needs and equipment issues promptly Provide professional, courteous service at customer locations Support continuous safety and operational improvement initiatives CDL Class A driving Local freight delivery Vehicle safety inspections Load securement and tarping DOT regulations compliance Logbook/E-logs use Backing and maneuvering trailers Pallet and lumber handling Basic forklift operation Route planning and communication Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL Class A license Clean MVR and safe driving record Current DOT medical card Experience with flatbed or pallet deliveries preferred OSHA or forklift certification a plus
