CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver

As a Dedicated CDL-A Truck Driver on the Walmart account, you haul dry and refrigerated freight from distribution centers in Colton, Fontana and Riverside, CA to stores across CA, NV and AZ, including Reno and Las Vegas. You typically run two trips per day with backhauls returning to the DC, averaging about 1,175 miles per week on a 24/7 operation. Most weeks are around 70 hours with a 34-hour reset, generally taken at home, using newer automatic sleeper tractors and dry or refrigerated trailers. Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on dedicated Walmart routes originating from Colton, Fontana and Riverside distribution centers. Complete two daily trips with backhauls, ensuring on-time deliveries to stores across California, Nevada and Arizona. Safely handle both dry and refrigerated freight, following proper temperature and load securement practices. Adhere to FMCSA hours-of-service rules and company policies, including using ELDs and maintaining accurate logs. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch and distribution center staff to coordinate routes, schedules and load details. Manage a 24/7 schedule, including weekends and holidays, working up to 70 hours per week. Maintain clean, orderly equipment and follow all safety procedures to protect cargo, equipment and public road users.
