Truck Driver

Waste Connections is seeking a safety-focused CDL Truck Driver to join our team in the Transportation & Warehousing industry. In this role, you will operate commercial refuse and recycling trucks on assigned routes, safely collecting and transporting non-hazardous waste from residential, commercial, and industrial customers. You’ll perform pre- and post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety standards, and ensure accurate documentation of loads and routes. Operate CDL refuse and recycling trucks on assigned routes Safely collect and transport non-hazardous solid waste and recyclables Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks Comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures Accurately complete route logs, load tickets, and required documentation Communicate with dispatch and customers in a professional manner Report equipment issues, route hazards, and incidents promptly Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely service Maintain clean, organized vehicle and adhere to environmental standards Support a safety-first, team-oriented, community-focused culture CDL Class A or B truck operation Vehicle pre- and post-trip inspections Knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS rules Safe driving and defensive driving techniques Route navigation and time management Basic truck maintenance awareness Paperwork and log documentation Customer service in field operations Waste and recycling handling procedures Two-way radio or onboard system use Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement Clean driving record meeting DOT and company standards Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules Experience operating commercial or refuse trucks preferred
