Dimension is looking for its first licensed CDL Driver to join our team in San Francisco, CA. The role involves driving a boxed truck along a routine route within California, with a predictable and not too demanding schedule. The weekly trip often requires staying in a hotel for one or two nights.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a boxed truck and stop by a few customer locations in California on a weekly basis to pickup well‑packaged hazmat items and deliver them to end facilities.
  • Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Conduct a safe work zone at each job site.
  • Adhere to the assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely.
  • Document every step of each delivery, including handing customers their waste documentations.
  • Perform a thorough load check on your truck before leaving, ensuring all delivery materials are firmly secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner.
  • Responsibilities may include light warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials on or off trucks or into the warehouse as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL – Class A or B – is required.
  • At least 2–3 years of CDL driving experience with a safe driving record.
  • The ability to lift 75–100 pounds repeatedly (common cargo includes 70 pound bundles of shingles).
  • Pre‑employment drug screen and random drug screens are required.
  • Fluent English speaker; must communicate friendly with customers.
  • Willingness to load/package customer items if requested.
  • Willing to meet with teammates once a week for a half day in the downtown San Francisco office (right outside Montgomery BART station).
  • Preferred but not required: previous experience driving and packaging hazmat.
  • We are unable to sponsor work visas at this moment.
